All members of Troop 39 must abide by the Scout Oath and Scout Law. We are committed to developing our Scouts to be young Christian men.
Our main principles are: - We are a Christian troop.
- We worship Jesus Christ through prayer, devotions, and commitment to Christian values that are central to how we carry out Scouting.
- We recognize the critical role that Dads must serve in helping their sons develop into Christian men.
- Dads are to be active participants in the Scouting program. Both parents support the Scouting experience but mothers are encouraged to play a supportive role in the troop, while dads mentor our scouts and guide our leaders. We see Scouting as an opportunity to provide a strong Christian male influence in the lives of our Scouts.
- We expect each scout to always seek to do their best. Colossians 3:23-24 says that "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve."
- As a troop, we seek to do our best at all times and the Troop has set high standards for work, conduct, and performance.
